HUGE NEWS!

Click on the link above for the complete story - here are some highlights:

"For the first time ever on Bravo, viewers will have the opportunity to interact through their cell phones and online, on BravoTV.com, and have their opinions shared with other viewers as they are polled on "Project Runway" related questions posed throughout the March 8 finale. Results from the viewer polls will be displayed throughout the episode. Everyone who votes will be automatically qualified to be randomly selected to win one of ten video iPods. Saturn is the official sponsor of the voting and sweepstakes."

Won't that be fun? Before long Project Runway will be bigger than American Idol! : ) And here are some details about the upcoming shows:

"On Wednesday, February 22 (10:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., ET/PT), viewers will have an opportunity to see some of the amusing and sensational moments from the previous challenges that did not make it into the preceding shows as all sixteen designers reunite with Heidi and Tim Gunn. The episode will also feature new interviews with the contestants and judges reacting to their experiences during the course of the challenges, as well as their personal reactions as they watch the series on television. Contestants will share their thoughts on how the series has also impacted their careers and lives."

This is going to be GREAT! Oh yes - I can not wait for this one!

"On Wednesday, March 1 (10:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., ET/PT), viewers will watch as the final three designers return home to begin work on their lines, which they will present before the world's fashion elite, at Olympus Fashion Week. Each of the contestants will be visited at their homes by Tim Gunn, allowing viewers to learn more about their personal lives and families, as well as to get a sneak peek at their Fashion Week collections."

Okay, this is just how they did it last year - except it was on the same night. I loved seeing Tim visit the designers in their own environments.

"On March 8, the three finalists will face-off in a runway show in New York Fashion Week. Each contestant will present their line before the judges, the media, and an audience of industry luminaries. At the end, the winner of "Project Runway" will be crowned...."

And that will be kind of bittersweet because it will all be over....

Just kidding - there's always next year!

I know it's inevitable, but I am a little sad that the end of this season will be coming to an end.

I'd also rather it NOT become like American Idol. Of course I want the show to be a success, but will Ryan Seacrest start co-hosting with Heidi? Ugh. That show is so cheesey!

Being more of a foodie than a fashionista, I am curious about "Top Chef," coming in May from Bravo and the PR producers. Although I must say that more than half the fun of Project Runway this season has been BPR. Thank you, Laura!

ourboydaniel--that's what I thought!
While I want our designers to have great publicty, I almost don't want to share them with the rest of America. Not too keen on those phone votes.

DAng. Last year I had a conference when the finale was aired and missed it because the F$%@# hotel didn't carry Bravo. The same annual conference is scheduled two weeks later in the year and f#@$%& Bravo is pushing back the finale. Not fair! stop doing this to me, Bravo.

There's always Top Model?

Maybe it can become a place to keep tabs on our designers as they embark on a new aspect of their careers.

I know that I would have loved to be able to keep tabs on Austin and Kara Saun last year, but didn't have the info or wonderful blog to do it:)

I agree w/ SR that half the fun of PR has been this blog, but I also think that half the fun of this blog has been the intelligent posters. Sharing opinions and ideas on fashion is great and just because the season ends doesn't mean that we can't keep sharing with one another...

yes, I admit.. reading this blog has become a daily routine... and it is nice to keep up with how the other designers are doing after the show..
wouldn't it be great if we could get the designers themselves to log on and interact???
When does PR start up again? next winter?? I guess I will survive.

oh.. but lets not think about the end yet, we still have weeks to go...

Don't forget - auditions for Season 3 will take place later this Spring. We will want to keep on top of those and try to get some insider scoop on the new crop of designers.

I'm also going to mount a campaign for Laura K to be on at least one of the audition panels. Who better to provide objective input from the fans perspective?
