Kara Saun Shows at Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week in Los Angeles
Here is a link to the Getty images of Kara Saun's Show. (Thanks Helen and Angela.) And here is a link to the Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week site. (Thanks, Marian.)
Wow her clothes are gorgeous. I like this collection even better than the one she did for the show. I wonder what the reviews are like. This is proof that the title of Project Runway winner really isn't all that important and should give encouragement to Daniel and Santino. Hopefully NY fashion week is next for Kara Saun. :)
These clothes are gorgeous! And I have to say, I saw some similarities between this line and what Chloe presented -- the stiff pleating and the cut-outs exposing the back, for instance.
The next time actress Laura Linney needs a dress for the red carpet she should def. call Kara Saun. Linney would look fabulous in that little red number.
memoirs of a Geisha?? Of course being Asian.. I love the Kimono influence..
Asian influence seem more and more IN, Its very cool. unfortunately. I can't wear it without feeling bound and subservient. But it looks beautiful. I also like the leather Obi like accent.
I really think Kara Saun is a great designer. really classy.
IMHO it's Kara Saun to a whole new level. We knew she was a great designer, and know the world knows she is a fantastic designer. She is a designing force to be reckoned with.
A fantastic collection with a lot of body(and er, bodies). Kara really got a fleshed out line to show, and with classic asian and english accents, it's wonderful. Great fit and pallette. Thanks for this!
Wow I love her clothes. She was who I was rooting for in season one and its good to see that even though she did not win she is still making it. LOVE the clothes!
i was looking forward to these photos. i wanted to like the clothes, really. i just don't see it. or i'm still so turned off by her disgusting use of fur for her final collection. i liked kara saun during the challenges, but i didn't care for her final collection. i think these are even worse for me. i would go so far as to say i almost hate everything. the only thing i don't hate is the green dress, and i don't even really like that. that's passable to me. yes, i was wondering if those were dollhouse shoes too, and i was thinking of kara janx's kimono dress too. although i liked janx's kimono dress a lot. so i hope i don't make people too mad. i enjoy reading opinions myself, especially if they don't agree with mine.
Of the three images posted, I actually like those outfits, although the kimono dress is beginning to be overdone. I really really really love the red dress though. As far as the collection as a whole, I think it lacks a point of view, in my opinion. It just seems kind of weird. It is like a kimono-aesthetic with a 1800s Austin Scarlett aesthetic. They just don't match to me. And the pieces just don't flow together so well to me. Anyway, some good pieces though(individually that is).

I don't know, that kimono vibe looks a whole lot like kara janx's thing.
but yes, very gorgeous nonetheless.

These are beautiful pieces and more imaginative (IMHO) than her fashion week line. Gorgeous. Good luck, Kara Saun!

To me it's reminiscent of Kara Janx and Chloe. It's a gorgeous collection - I think it's more successful than her PR collection.
The $10million question: Did Dollhouse do the shoes?????
