This is so exciting!! Can't wait to see you all and all your hard work-just think, one of those names is the winner of PR3!

No kiddies and no old fogies!! We should expect some serious design this time around.

Thanks for the list. I admit to wondering if Daniel Franco was going to be around a third time. I'm off to check out those web sites.

Daniel Franco, where did you go?

Yay! Thanks BPR Team! You made my day. :)

Kenneth, it IS him. I looked at the photos (see the link at the bottom of today's post) and I compared Robert Best, Barbie designer with Robert Best PR designer. They are one and the same.

I'm stating here and now that I am rooting for Laura. Naturally.

Hi Ken!
I'm wondering if the whole LA and NYC locations are where these designers had been currently living. For instance, Daniel was listed as a New Yorker but grew up in Michigan.

And thanks to all you PR Musical fanatics (Laura! Moi!) I will be singing the Daniel Franco song all night now!

They're certainly a well-traveled, multilingual, experienced bunch, aren't they?

"Women aren't Barbies - even if there was a Barbie competition! And I don't think Tim Gunn will allow him to get away with anything....

Then again, they ALL let Santino get away with all kinds of crap..."

well, if he acts like a total psycho then he gets the Here-For-Drama spot on the Top 3... lol

I hope the final collections will rock out, I mean the final 4 gets like 2+ months to crank out a 13-look collection, right?

Looking forward to this season, thans BPR for a great coverage!!!

Wow, what an interesting lineup! I'm going to have to take some time to go over their sites - this season is shaping up to have potential.

My own take on including Robert Best: on the one hand, yes, he's had some success. On the other hand, as someone who sews for both dolls and humans, they really are two different arenas. While many skills do carry over, there is a big difference in how fabric drapes and how garments are finished and embellished. In some ways, it's almost a handicap rather than an asset. In any case, I'm really looking forward to seeing what all the designers come up with!

Marcia.

Two things I noticed: Bravo doesn't even have its own PR3 page up yet - in fact, when you go to the Shows page and click on the pic of Heidi and Tim, you get... James Lipton. :) And Angela lives about 2 hours away from me (!), so already I can see that I'll be rooting for my fellow Ohioan! :)

LauraK said...

Okay - I made a little joke - anybody find it yet?

Why are there 30 people (other than Heidi and Tim) in that photo but only 15 designers named? Enquiring minds want to know...

TheQuietOne said...

The models are in there, too.

And I see Laura's joke, very sneaky! :)

usually the press release and blogs comes on days before the official site is created... justjared usually has a great coverage for this

This is the best we can do, Anna. Just thumbnails. Hopefully the Bravo site will be updated soon with full-sized photos of all of the designers!

Laura,
You have the David Hasselhoff "Michael Knight: instead of the PR hopeful. Is that your joke? Good one! :)

Anna, I found Bravo's new Project Runway site in the development phase. They don't have the new pictures there, either ... only last season's with 'for position only' in place. I am keeping an eye on it, looking for bigger pictures.

Oh and I have to say we aren't too keen on the new colors on the Season 3 site.

I do totally think Kayce, Jaime and Te-The (sp?) have designs that are competitive with these designers. Interesting group, but I haven't really had a chance to check out their sites in detail. From what I did see, a lot of different styles on the sites alone, which is interesting. ITA-it's such a misstep that Bravo doesn't have the new season page ready for this press release-why wouldn't they at least have designers profiles and pictures? It's almost as if they know they can't compete with BPR--
