Hello. It was nice to hear from you regarding my whereabouts. I am still alive. I am living in New York and working on my collection for fashion week in September. By the way, I am a regular reader of your blog. Its definitely the best one out there. Good job.
As for me, I am just working very hard on the collection and trying to set up a great team of people to help me fulfill my vision. That has taken a year. A full year. I think what people dont realize, and I guess what I didn't realize, was how much time goes into building a business. I am more than fine with taking my time. The last thing I want to do is be hasty in making decisions that affect my line. If it takes 10 years...it takes 10 years. Ask anyone who has started a business....it doesn't happen overnight....
... On a side note, I am putting some illustrations on ebay next week. They were the illustrations from Project Jay. I had received so many requests from my website, I decided to put them up for auction.
.... Well, keep up the good work and I will be sure to stay tuned to the blog. Best of luck!

good luck, Jay! can't wait to see your new collection.
Jay - you have many, many fans here who can't wait to buy your clothes. Thanks for checking in!
Okay, I totally love Jay. I want to see him succeed. I want to buy his clothes. I'm one of those people who will wait and not forget who he is.
I hope his health is okay. I worried about him after having seen Project Jay!
I also, can't wait to see his sketches on eBay! I loved seeing them and hearing his stream-of-conscious discussion of his design process on Project Jay.
He is an amazing talent with a distinct point-of-view. Did I mention I love Jay?
Hi Jay!
It was cool to see that you were at the WGI Trenton Regional! This weekend is Wildwood - such fond memories, huh? lol
(for non-color guard people - this is about...eh, don't worry about it LOL)
We love you! Keep plugging along!
Trish
Okay, don't miss the part where Jay says that BPR is "the best..."
: )
Scarlett-I am so with you-Jay is definitely one of my favorites and I would have definitely been a Project Jay blogger, too!! It's good to hear from him and to hear he is being thoughtful and true to himself and that it's not a case of meltdown.
wow. Jay is a regular blogger!! that is so great.
Are you reading this now?? wow.
hey, hurry up with your line.. i wanna buy your clothes!! ha ha ha
in 10 years I will be too old to wear your funky stuff. ha ha ha
just kidding..
oh my god is it only wednesday!! and no PR to keep me awake...
glad to hear that jay is workin' hard and still in the game! tim should take back what he said in that one article about jay being an embarassment to project runway. for as much as we praise tim, he seems to get away with saying really rude, snarky things at times. (i.e., santino cant win b/c he's a freak, describing that one model as looking like a marshmallow, etc....)
I actually cried when I saw Jay's note! I am so relieved that the creative spirit that is Jay is still perculating, and actually as much as I want to see Jay succeed in the fashion world I just want him happy and learning on this journey of life.
Jay I would buy a COPY of a copy your sketches! Can't wait to buy your clothes whenever that happens.
There are few beings in the world as unique as you!
OMG! I am so proud of the BPR people we have "stood by" him even when our bel'vd Gunn has gotten "snarky" as one BPR'r put it.. :) Pobody is nerfeckt :) Jay is still my all-time fave of the whole bunch. I dream over that patchyworky gown on his website and would be one of those people fighting over it one day.. Gimme Gown!!!!
Jay you do what you need to do and know there are many people who understand and I agree its not a good idea to rush things, this is your dream your passion, do it right. Also can I buy a greenypatchy gown at cost on the sly in secret I won't tell anyone I swear!!! Give a po' girl a break! I live in the East Village I'll give you babies.. hmm well how about a bratty cat? j/k :) I can't wait to see the things you do. :)
glad to hear that you're ok. i loved project jay. i thought it was going to be a regular show, but was highly disappointed that it was just 1 episode.
looking forward to seeing your collection...sept seems like a long time. :)
WE LOVE YOU JAY!
(All caps provided intentionally for a big ol' shout-out to the most awesome designer ever!)
Jay, you rock. Loved you from the very beginning of season 1 and it will be delight to follow your career -- it already has been.
The guy who edited "Project Jay", Rob Tate, said that he had over 200 hrs. more footage!
I wish they would do more segments. I think Bravo screwed up by not continuing with it. But maybe Jay was tired of being in a fishbowl as well...
Two hundred hours! Wow. And they edited it down to one. What a shame.
I love love jay! he is my favorite... I wish I could get a hold of his clothes...
