This is For The Party!
This post is for everyone else's live-posting of the show tonight. Our east coast friends will join in a scene-by-scene description of the episode. Just in case we have some newbies - remember we are all friends here, and we are all polite! Those of us on the west coast can check in for a little preview of the show. Thanks so much all of you. I can't believe we only have one more Wednesday night together!

Look at this flotsam and jetsam!
If it was anyone from What Not to Wear it should be Trinny and Susannah from the British one.
I can't wait-a third of the show should be for Daniel, right?
1/3 of the show for Daniel! Yesss!
10 minutes to go...
Howdy netcowboy - welcome to the party!
"Lost" almost tricked me!!! It's going over 5 minutes...
Champangne on the rooftop for the final three with Heidi and Tim.
Ugh-a bit OT--my husband is watching this with me for the first time and he's driving me nuts with questions!
How can I pay attention with him making comments constantly???
Thank goodness PR repeats!
Santino was homeless for a bit...
Tim and Santino with the beach sunset and seaguls...
Wow-the softer side of Santino hanging with his best friend's beautiful little girls.
Being a mom, I know little kids only hang all over people they love and trust.
Santino finally makes sense to me now. I could tell he was insecure, but knowing he's bi-racial puts things in a whole new light. He and I are basically the same complexion, but I'm not biracial and I've had my own issues as have a few friends. God only knows what he's gone through regarding his skin and sex pref.
Santino explained that he had a collection that went bust-- Oooh, but it's Daniel's turn now!!!!
Oh big hug for the Gunn. So jealous!
"something very special and unique about this" Tim on Daniel's collection.
And now he's taking Tim shopping for a new blazer-possibly for the runway show.
"I love my life right now, and this is just the beginning", says the beautiful Daniel Vosovic.
Wait until you see his designs details. So gorgeous!
Chloe seems to have the least finished thus far...
She doesn't have sketches for Tim to see. "What's in your head? I want to know?"
So Chloe is the one who didn't have sketches.
Tim takes a family picture with Chloe's family of women.
Oooohh..after commercial-they're moving in together!
Chloe and Daniel hanging out in bed together. SO jealous now.
But they're busting on Santino.
WAIT--Santino just said the he's read every sh#%@! blog.
THIS is not a @%^$&4 blog!
Santino-compared Chloe's collection to a couch.
"It looks a little like your dad did this in his garage."
OMG! I love Tim!
seeing chloe's stuff up close i don't like it. it does look a little 80s prom meets alexis carrington.
i agree with tim just saying ok to daniel because i still think his line was boring. the bags look woodshopy but i think that's why i like them.
i am now only impressed by santino. i couldn't decide between his and chloe's, but i have now.
If Santino wins, I'm sure everyone is going to be so upset because their favorite didn't win. They'll be just as upset as when Nick left. A lot of people really dislike Santino, but his collection is the strongest. There's talent there, but because of his rudeness people's views on his talent are distorted.
So if Santino wins, is everyone going to cry, b!tch, & moan, then say they're going to boycott Bravo? If they do that, what a bunch of sore losers.
Yes, but sometimes they show one designer having problems and they end up winning the challenge. The same thing could be happening here. I'm not that much of a Dan fan, but I could see the judges loving it. I do like that white coat...which is why I own two, one in black and one in tweed.
"It's just those damn details."--Daniel
My husband is sympathizing with Santiono over not getting any models to show for fittings.
I think Daniel has gotten a bit cocky, probably from winning the most challenges (and some important ones at that), and that's not good for him.
Here it comes...
I actually want Santino to win, despite his attitude his collection is by far the best. Chloe's is pretty ugly, looks like bad 1980s fashion trends revisited, and what the heck is with that trim on the skirts, looks the a geometric mess. I love Dan but his collection is boring, the only piece that stands out to me is that gorgeous white coat, but still nothing special about his collection. The most original thing he made were those handbags which were pretty craptastic.
Oh--it is ONE MORE DESIGN to add to their collection.
Who guessed that before?
awwwwww heyll naw! create 1 more look that has to be on the runway? that's just stupid. you know what if i were them, i'd make a pack not to do it. they can't hold it against you if the 3 of them don't do it. oh here come the other designers
It's everyone!!!!! They're back to help.
Daniel chooses Nick!
Santino-does anyone like him?
"Andrae"--in Timpression!
Chloe chooses Diana-yah! So psyched she gets to be shown-off again.
Yikes-they all seem way stressed over the extra piece.
Yes! I LOVE this surprise! I think I'm psychic, because I guessed this like 2 days ago. Just a feeling I had. And somehow I knew who they'd pick.
i thought daniel needed nick or andrae because he needs their eye and expertise. he probably should have chosen andrae simply because they're a good team and they work well together.
santino chosing andrae no brainer.
chloe chosing diana?? i'm not sure how that's gonna work. i was thinking she needs someone who can take a garment apart and just sew. she may have been better off with franco. since it's not his design, he might not have done the daniel franco shuffle and take forever. plus, he's done his own show before so he knows what it takes.
omg insultcomicdog bringing in stacy and clinton would be AWESOME! i'd love it. they'd probably want to dress the designers themselves though.
Back at Mood.
Ooh some harsh comments from the judges next week.
Howdy, newbie here.
Personality aside, often Santino is right when critiquing the work of others. He was right about Nick's last outfit. When he micromanaged Kara's look for him, his suggestions were good. If both he and Tim are saying things about Daniel's line having "issues", then Daniel better listen to at least Tim.
I'm not watching the show at the mo, but I know when Daniel did his makeover of Chloe, he didn't take the criticism of his outfit well. And it bothered me alittle that he was so critical of Santino when his own creation was unfinished and not that good.
I don't think he's used to it. He's used to the praise. I don't know if I'd agree that he's getting cocky, though. Just used to being the fair-haired child.
Having seen all three looks, I agree that Santino's is the best. And personalities and favorites aside, I hope he wins. But then I was vaguely rooting for Pepper last year. Forgive me, I didn't see the whole season, just the last few shows, and didn't know her history. All I knew was that my "underdog alarm" was going off.
Same with Santino. Ding! Ding! Ding!
I think when Daniel say "I'm expecting Tim to say this is the best collection ever," that comes off as awfully cocky.
I don't think there's much safe about Santino -that's his attraction. His work was real, diverse and skilled. You don't have to be a fashion critic to see it.
Most people (if honest) watched from week to week just to see what he'd do next. I loved watching him and hope to have an opportunity to see more in the future. I would love to see him take the prize -and then see where this goes. I believe he above all will make the most of the award. I think He wants it the most.
I thought the added challenge was ridiculous and over-the-top / totally not needed. You can see the exhaustion all over their faces. I soooo felt for the designers. Very cruel.
I hated the "us against you" aspect of the show - Daniel & Chloe against Santino. It made me squirm. It seems ironic that everyone wanted to bring Santino to task but didn't acknowledge their own trash talk. This was, I guess, what makes for "good TV".
Whether people buy or don't buy Santino's past (or believe it's being used as a ploy), it definitely defines and explains more of who he is. I thought this aspect of the show was good for all 3 designers.
Can't wait for next week! Only sorry it will end.
I feel like I'm watching an entirely different show than Project Runway, Season 1. Last year's Finale showed two collections which actually merited being shown 'for real' at Fashion Week. Jay's work was innovative and exciting, Kara Saun's was sleek, sensual, professional and glamorous. Every piece contributed to their collection's point of view. This season look's like some 'poor cousin' knock-off show on a local cable feed. Minimally talented designers, mostly un-thrilling, derivative clothes (I can count on one hand the few great pieces,) horribly contrived storylines, and insane, non-sensical judging. New rules (like no immunity for winning,) removed any incentive for 'already playing-it-safe' designers to aspire to anything but safe designs. I feel like I never saw color the whole season...with the exception of Nick's Barbie. Even designers who started strong had the fire stomped out of them by mid-season. Furthermore, the whole finale was depressing...because nothing could make these clothing lines anything better than mediocre. But to remove any chance of working them to their greatest advantage with great make-up design, hair concepts, fittings, just the right models...we saw all the time necessary for that sucked up by a 13th garment addition. The viewers missed out on watching what was a fascinating process...the real last-minute, behind the scenes mania of producing a fashion show. Model selection was like a 2 second blink, unlike the huge deal it was last year...where designers fought for the looks that would enhance their individual visions. But the worst is the look of the clothing...3 MONTHS and 8,000 dollars produced a whole lot of nothing new and nothing special. Maybe next season, producers will cast for talent, not TVQ. I would love it if Finale, part 2 proves all my complaints without merit. I'm just so sad and frustrated by the way this is going so far. Obviously I was a huge fan of PR.
