Wendy's collection is beautiful ... and did I mention she looks amazing? I love it when a designer surprises me and Wendy Pepper has done just that; from her finale collection in Season One to her self-reinvention to her present runway collection she is proving herself to be talented and driven.
Wow!That's some make-over.She looks so young and vibrant. It's nice to see her smile.
I know, Jan! I've tried before, but maybe I'll write again and ask for an interview. I want her diet secrets!
I always thought Wendy's "driven-ness" was a bit contrived and very irritating. I have to admit, though, her collection was good. The bigger accomplishment was the makeover! She look 10 years younger. Divorce becomes her.
I loved some, hated some but as always impressed with her variety. And bowled over with the colors and patterns. And I see, she has let the boobies out again in this show. Wendy, you just are going to shock Michael agian.
http://www.wendypepper.com/slides/large/2006_show_wendypepper-133.jpgWow I have a top very similar to this but with long sleeves and I WANT THIS ONE - LOL Can I trade?? She rocked that look. She knows not everybody is size zero and not everybody wants to wear skin tight stuff but love flowy things. I am a Jay fan *waves!* which does not mean I don't like Wendy, who knows what we didn't see when they edited her bitchiness to stand out the most- all those days there I am sure there were kind and funny moments they left out when they figured out what "character" she was going to be on the show. Plus nobody is perfect.. we all have "sides" to us that who knows what we'd look like if some show only showed that stuff- she has talent and drive and what a make-over she looks amazing. I also have a feeling her art means everything to her (after her daughter) and she will continue to do well. I have a feeling if some people continue to hold the show against her and don't want her to move on and grow she will just smile at them. Lighten Up Its just Fashion! Lets love the art now! Ohh look at that corset one :) Carry On!
like someone else said, i loved some and hated some. loved most of the empire waist gowns, but i HATE empire waists. they make me look fat, not to mention large boobs are not attractive in that anyway. i thought it was funny she had a gown with tartan fabric. was it project jay or pr2 that someone saw tartan fabric at mood and joked that wendy would like it? she does look fabulous though. i loved a lot of the fabric. i thought a couple of things looked a little jay inspired. would someone please feed the model with the mermaid hair, please! at least eat a cookie, for crying out loud!
The argyle pattern for the bottom of one dress made me think of Daniel which made me smile.Otherwise, I'm not too into her designs overall. I do however like that she used "real" looking women of different ages for her show.
I must say that I am impressed with Wendy and other members of the show, like Emmett, that are actually working at designing and moving on with their career. What a waste with Jay. If he doesn't do something soon people will forget him and he would have wasted such a grand opportunity.
Oh my God. That green-black argyle pattern on one of the dresses is SO reminiscent of the "gorgeous Wendy Pepper plaid" fabric Jay and Austin were kidding about on Project Jay! Overall, I think this effort is much more successful than her last though I could never bring myself to love her color choices/combinations. But I love how she used women of different shapes, sizes, and races. And lets face it -- Wendy looks hot!
i have to say, i liked most of the piece. her collection is very varied, but i guess that can be good. as everyone has noted, the makeover is very nice. and i am pleased she is pushing forward and creating beautiful things. she is talented, she just has her own style and vision that is different from most everyone else. congrats wendy!
OMG Wendy looks incredible. And her collection is great. The fabrics are fabulous!!! I am really happy to see things worked out for her..
i always liked wendy.she looks great.
