Brilliant!!!

I believe Tim asked, "YES or NO?"

Did he ever get the answer?

And Daniel's little head twitch at the mention of Johnny Cash is priceless!

the cuts seem bogus -- whats with the gender scramble at the start? makes the whole bit feel concocted... inspite of what TG andHK say at the end.

I mean, TG & HK ask the question, Guadelupe starts to talk and then there is this cut to Heidi, (which is how you would cover an edit to another, different chunk of Guadelupe talking, so that the image of her face won't "jump" on the screen) and then we hear Guadelupe saying "I can only give him a personal critique" -- comlete nonsequitur -- are they enhancing this for effect or what? I think they overdid... it can't have played out that way really, can it?

or: maybe it did? Maybe we should ALL have some of what she's having...

You can also hear Tim's BS comment softly while viewing Lupe and thenit cuts to him miked and saying it loudly.

Editing is in effect--but there's only so much they can do. I still think she was a bit "tipsy" shall we say.

According to Andy's Blog, she was a bit more then tipsy...lol

The whole thing just came out REALLY contrived yet seriously amusing!

Wow, watching this a few times and you can clearly see who's had a few too many. Heidi Strandridge had the buzz glow, John Wade looked numb and Daniel F.'s eyeliner was smeared.

I loved Kara's utter look of confusion and how Nick was looking away from the camera and trying so hard to not burst into laughter.

Okay so I watched this a few more times. Andrae's expression where he closes his eyes and wishing this all to end...oh, and Tim's expression, both priceless!

I think my favorite is Daniel V's little head twitch firectly after the Johnny Cash comment...it's just too good!

Did you happen to notice the cluck sound that 'Lupe added for emphasis after she said, "Period"?

If editing caused that, I believe I'd be suing the editors for character damage if I were Lupe. :(

what was she on? it was more than liquid courage.

i also think aunt teak is right. i suspected the producers had done some really ify editing, which was confirmed by dan f. on myspace. guad's ans was probably another instance.

You guys just don't get Guadalupe. She and I are totally on the same level. The way we talk, you cannot duplicate. The way you talk, you cannot duplicate. It's like you'll never know what my personal response is, except me. And I'll never know my personal response, except me. And if any of you bloggers get this, you f***in rock because you believe in what is true.

I can't help but watch this... it's too funny.

When is there going to be a Project Runway: the Musical video?? LOL.

Probably the funniest part of the reunion.

In an unrelated remark ... I was watching RED EYE on DVD and it struck me ! Andrae is Cilliam Murphy look-a-like. It's frightening how much they resemble each other (minus the eye color and the hair)
It s troubled me for the whole movie !

That is fairly sad. She made No sense at all....

It's one thing to party. But to do that to yourself on national TV? Sigh. Hear that toilet flushing? Bye-bye, Career.

Yeah, according to Santino on his blog, when he, Chloe, and Dan V arrived, the rest of them were trashed.

oddly i think i know what she was saying-i think she what she was trying to get out was that she would not compare herself to another designer and she would not put another designer down on national television-i know this is a guess but that is what i got out of it-besides a large giggle fit

I think she promised her master Lord Eireon that she would send a secret message to him during this broadcast. ;)

Blogger ceece said...

Even if they did edit it, she is still freaking crazy, I mean look at the rest of the designers? They are all "like what the hell is going on?"

If there are any behind the scenes editors from PR reading this, we would love to see the rant!

I still find that so mindblowingly insane that I think that it *has* to be the editing. (Especially in light of what Daniel Franco wrote.)

Either that or I need to take whatever Lupe's on to comprehend it! Maybe someone should do that purely for translation purposes. :D

ARION here again...

Just wanna confirm that her speech was infact edited. Guadalupe gave me an email yesturday and said although her response wasn't recieved well, it was evidence of project runway production..meaning, the editing and everything. And like others on here have noticed, many small meticulous details are heard and don't make sense.

On the question card, I also wrote "I love you Guadalupe" which probably was cut and not read on television...mabye they wanted to save that line for Heidi for Daniel to say? I wish it was, but its ok.

I've been thinking a lot about Guadalupe, and it's really great to have access to this video and read all of the responses to her performance.

What I keep thinking is this: if I had been on PR, and eliminated with MK saying my work would put someone on the worst-dressed list, and then I watched the show and listened to all the awful things people had to say about me and my work ... well, you'd have to get me high to get me to participate in a reunion show, too.

Arion, is there any way you can get from Guadalupe what she actually said? I'm very curious to hear how she wanted to respond.
