This week the designers' orginal sketches are up for auction. Of varying degrees of complexity, detail and condition, these sketches are relatively affordable works of art. Click here for the auctions.
Now, if only they would tell us the size of the sketches.

Daniel V. and Nick are wonderful sketchers! Daniel's drawings all look like they've got attitude...I love it!
And you can sort of tell how Santino starts off with an idea and just completely Santino's the heck out of it before the end.
Whickety-whack!
I love Santino's lingerie sketch. Misspelling Auf Wiedersehen is excusable I think - that's a high school level spelling word. But HEIDI?!?! You can clearly see how he misspells Heidi's name twice. She's not only the "client" but the producer of the show that you're on, Santino. How about getting your head out of your butt long enough to have the smallest consideration for her? At least get her name right!
I think that Guadalupe's lingerie challenge sketch proves that she is nuts at baseline.
I was really loving all the sketches on Project
Jay, too...Does anyone know where they all learn how to sketch like that? It's all so stylized, is it a class at Fashion School?
kncukles, there are drawing classes in the fashion program at most if not all art schools.
I had to take Basic Drawing (still lifes) and Figure Drawing (nude models) before we even touched on the ways to sketch out a figure for design purposes. Lots of exaggeration of limbs and height.
When cleaning my room the other day, I actually happened upon some of my old sketches that I need to hang on to...
Yep, I was a studio art major, so I have done plenty of figure drawing, but never saw a class offered specifically for that style of drawing. I'd love to learn how to do it, it looks really fun!
oh, just kidding!!...lol
It was a long time ago, but the class was just called fashion drawing 1...then you go to more advanced levels to do the detailing and such.
Those ear-fans on Nick's lingerie sketch are as sexy as Santino's deer...
see ya,
fiasco
I want to buy Jay's sketches, they look very anime-ish.
