Found this particular piece interesing:
"Santino brought the mouth, which brought the drama, which brought the viewers and which generated the ad revenue. But now, with the final showdown upon us, it could be finally safe to cut him loose..."

That's what I was trying to say about Nick's aufing (but couldn't because I was barely comprehending anything more then "Nick was robbed!" comments.) It was safe to let him loose awhile ago...but I can see how the producers couldn't have anticipated the viewers stronger reactions to other contestants...

Onto what Jay said...very interesting. That's the first I've heard that Santino's garments were unfinished. I'm curious what the judges will say regarding that...if it's even the case.

This is the first I've heard that Santino's garments looked unfinished. Truly, looking at the collections I'm at a loss to figure out which is the decoy. And I haven't made my picks yet this week (nor have I figured out who the celebrity/supermodel could be).

I hadn't heard Santino said "There's always next season". Yipes, hope not on TV. I also didn't like the way it made Heidi seem a little diva-ish about the retake when everything else I read said she was funny and good natured about it.
I still think the collections were pretty amazing and not sure who the ringer is. BTW, did anyone discuss/mention that Tim says "It INVOLVES a major celebrity by the name of ..."-doesn't necessarily mean that you are designing for that person. It could have been evening gowns for an auction for someone's charity, for example. Maybe I've missed anyone dishing about this.

Just read Andy's Blog...

"The show was just about to begin when Andre Gonzalo ran from behind the scrim to join his cast mates in the front row and the room erupted in cheers."

LOVES IT!!! I love Andrae!

And I think that the designers might have restrained themselves during the big show because of all the panning that has happened to risk-takers in recent weeks. do we want ambition or not?

On that note, I think Kara's was the most ambitious closely followed by Chloe's. But, IMO Chloe's ambition didn't execute well *shrugs*

I think when Santino said "There's always next season" he was talking about the next season for his line, like he'll be back at the Spring 2006 fashion week. I really don't think he was alluding to trying out for season 3 like Daniel Franco! Besides, the producers would never have let him say that.

Somehow I doubt Santino was the decoy, because if he was he might have gone a little crazier without the concern of being criticized by the flaky judges.

aj, I agree about Kara and Chloe being the most ambitious, and Kara's ambition definitely led to a better result in my opinion.

I can't believe I'm jumping back into this debate, but my addiction is just too much...

Both DV and Chloe have made comments this week suggesting that they have been working long and hard on these collections. I think the chances that either of those two are the decoy are very slim.

I said this in another post, but I am thinking that the decoy is Kara. Her collection was phatty (that's a good thing) but it did look REALLY similar to one of the lines on her website. The pieces could have been samples that weren't part of the online collection...

That just makes the most sense to me at this point anyway...

Tim Gunn remained backstage, repeatedly refusing any notion of a front row seat during the show he felt his place was back there supporting the designers. God Bless Tim!

Oh i love Tim!
