Think you have what it takes to be on the show? You could meet Tim Gunn and former cast members along the way. Sound intriguing? You have a month to create 3 looks that define your design aesthetic. How much fun would it be to have a Blogging Project Runway reader on the next season of Project Runway?!?
Now, go practice threading the serger and fixing the overlock.

Interesting that they are going international this time with an audition in London. That should spice things up.
Laura, how about you? Ready to throw your hat into the ring?
I thought the same thing-we'd be okay till you got home, Mom-Tbone and Scarlett and some others could baby-sit, LOL!!
Laura, you should totally go try out!
And on another note...I was at Target the other day and saw a serger machine. True to form, I started humming Emmett's slave song...lol
You know, I thought immediately of Laura when I saw casting of Season 3.
Seriously guys, I'm more of a "Crafty Happy Hands at Home" designer. I could NEVER make a wedding gown, or a skating costume - or a red carpet gown - or a SUIT for heaven's sake. That stuff is advanced! I would be laughed out of town with my necktie handbags and gypsy skirts - honest. I'm not anywhere near on a par with these folks. I'm strictly a Home Sewer.
It might be fun to go and REPORT on the auditions, though. It would be fun to get some interviews from people waiting in line, etc. Hmmmm... There's one in LA, right? and New York? Hmmmmm...
HMMM-I could try to check out the auditions in NY-I am so cooking up a plan to figure out when they are designing and go stalk the neighborhood, LOL.
Praddicted, you are now an officially designated "field reporter" for BPR. Make us proud!
I was thinking the same thing on the field reporting angle. I was hoping for something closer to me, say Chicago. But I am overdue for a NYC trip. Hmmmmm.....
Lissette, you are the official "BPR Miami Field Reporter." Make us proud! Maybe Scarlett can make us up some kind of Press accreditation package or something - with an official BPR NAMETAG!
I would totally make up a pass! OMG that is brilliant!
Desertwind says:
If Bravo doesn't ask Laura K for her thoughts on PR 1&2 and notions for 3 they are insane.
I've already considered staking out Atlas apartments to catch a glimpse of them coming and going next summer!!!
Well, Laura, you should certainly be one of the Guest Judges for Season 3!!!!
Scarlett, a "Press Badge" maybe. Those laminated things that reporters wear! I can't believe I said "Nametag." I am so out of my league here! LOL
London?! What does that mean for "Project Catwalk" I wonder?
I'm thinking of auditioning in LA. But would I would become a silly hysterical little fangirl if I saw Tim Gunn in person! :)
Violet- please keep us posted. If you decide to audition, we'll all be supporting you! Imagine having all of us outraged over any mistreatment! It would be great!
Okay, I'm in for New York and TBone, we can be a team! I'm psyched!!
I totally think Laura should be a guest judge. I think she should be an interviewer for auditions!!
I wanna go to NY too! I haven't been in ages...I'd walk the line outside and interview people...stalk Tim...ya know, the usual
LOL
I'll have to think of a Tshirt to wear-in fact, I have to figure out if I'm buying:
Where the hell is my chiffon?
Jay's
Free Tim Gunn (Daniel V's, I think)
Loopy Lupe's
I CANNOT buy them all. That would be- odd.
Oh my god, aj, I was totally looking at that serger at Target over the weekend! So tempting! I so do not need another $200 toy to stuff into my apartment, though.
Ahhh, Laura, how cool would it be to somehow get on the show and know that BPR people were rooting for me? :)
(Assuming of course, that my designs aren't terrible and that I don't acquire a spooky split personality! Ha!)
I'm checking into it, but I (ohhhh, this is embarrassing) don't turn 21 until June. I don't know if they'll let me audition as the rules state that one has to be 21.
Violet, when is your birthday exactly? I would think that as long as you are 21 when they begin filming you should be okay. You should go to the auditions anyway. It will be a great experience. Are you looking at an application? Do you know the exact dates of the auditions?
lmao eric, that is SO funny!
I was with my mom and I was like "Mom, there's a serger machine over there." She get's all baritone (from where I don't know) and starts singing the Emmett Slave Song!!
I died...it was too funny!
And seriously, I'm just concentrating on getting my bedroom revamped and setting my sewing machine up again...
