Yippeee - it's Project Runway time! Good evening to all faithful BPR fanatics, insane asylum wardees, lurkers and newbies to tonight's live-posting of Project Runway Episode 8: "Flower Power".
Get your popcorn, pruning shears watering can, and pull up your comfy chair for tonight's PR party!
Previews for tonights episode show Tim taking our 6 remaining designers on a field trip to what appears to be the Garden District in NYC. Will they be potting plants, designing a dress, or both?
At stake: immunity and a free pass to at least the Final 4. The competition is getting stiffer as we get closer to Fashion Week and who knows which way it will go. Because, as Heidi says: "In fashion, one day your een, the next day your auf!"
Less than 30 minutes to show time!
Some things we'll keep our eye out for this evening:
- the likely departure of the lovely Tarah from the model "competition"
- more Timpressions!
- who gets Nina's "I'm not impressed anymore" comment and whose design looks like a "doormat"
Nothing better than the nervous anticipation before a new episode of PR - we're getting close to showtime!

Nick: "new rule, do not go out like Zulema"
Heidi: "you will be making an outfit for a garden party"
Model selection! Out comes Tarah and Rebeca.
DV sticks with Rebecca. Tarah is robbed!!
Nick: "that one hit me really hard"
Tears from Nick again! We love you here at BPR..
Boys from 35D on the roof of the Atlas...
Chloe: "shocking there aren't more women left...there should be at least one woman in there.."
Tim shows up at the door of 35D! "We're going on a field trip!"
Then knocks on the door of 37G...
The group is in the flower district. $100 and an hour to shop.
Nick: "i had to stay long enough for the damn make a dress out flower show"
HA! Love you Nick!
3 stores to choose from - a flower shop, a garden supply store, and a plant shop (?)
Chloe barely finishes shopping by the deadline...
Back in the workroom:
Chloe giving DV props - "you're pretty good at everything you do"
(EVERYTHING, Chloe??)
DV: "I tried basketball once, that didn't work out too good"
Finally, something DV can't do!
Tim- "the winner of this challenge gets immunity"
Tbone says: GIMMICK!
Chloe: my design is a summer dress, from far away it won't look like leaves
Kara: I don't know what I'm using (as usual)
Santino: Sketch looks like everything else he's done
Andrae: seems to know his way around the plants
Tim's in the house -
Chloe: It sounds ambitious, the petals fall off!
Kara: resolve your issues, she's in trouble again!
DV: get moving!
Nick: Tim qworried he doesn't have enough material
Santino: looks powerful
Tim: Doing a Timpression of himself: "What happened to Andrae?"
Chloe: screams, thinks her dress will take too long
Uh-oh!
DV: I just came out to my family
"Too be labeled a fag in upper middle class midwest America was very difficult"

Santino is in full Timpresion mode!! Lots of laughs tonight...
Andrae's skirt looks cool!
Andrae: "One Santino is enough"

Hopefully a half-baked Chloe can beat out a full baked Kara..

New development tonight: Kara and Chloe have created a "girl team" thing. Kara: we need to get a woman to the Final 3

Judges: MK, Nina, Badgley and Mischka (??) new judges, too...
DV: I don't know how to describe these things!
Nick: looks good, he hopes the plants don't fall off!
Chloe: didn't quite finish, but looks Chloe!! Yay!
Santino: eh
Andrae: definitely looks like a doormat
Kara: she's confident,it looks ok

Nick: why not more color?? MK says it's nt sophisticated
Chloe: everyone likes!! YAY!
Kara: getting high marks! I can't believe this. If she wins, I'll scream!!!!!
Andrae: MK doesn't like, looks liie a doormat!!
DV: everyone likes!! Mr. Studly rides again!!
Santino: defending his shelack job!
Heidi: "I like it shiny", MK: that's cause your German"
DV, Kara, Chloe battling for immunity...

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your witty commentary. You have brought play-by-play announcing to a whole new level. It must take a lot of energy to do this solid for an hour and I wanted you to know how much it is appreciated. Thanks!
Thank you pdog, I really do appreciate that. It is amazing what you miss on an episode trying to do this.
I always sit down and watch the rerun immediately after the episode and end up kicking myself for all the stuff I miss. Between this and the party thread, I think you get a pretty good flavor for how each episode plays out.
