Until last night I had no idea who the Gastineau Girls were. I don't think Brittny Gastineau qualifies as a socialite. Being the rich daughter of a spoiled, snotty model and a former football player (who also happens to be an ex-con) does does not a socialite make. As much as I detest Paris she is at least the real thing.

Yes, Heidi descibes her as a "young socialite." If she were an actress, they'd say actress, a model, singer or entertainment reporter - they wouldn't describe her as a "socialite." Remember how careful they were with the "fashion icon" description? WE knew that the episode was called "All Dolled Up" so it wasn't hard to figure out that it was Barbie.

But how many people do you know that are mere socialites?

Even Brittny G is a model - that's hard work, so she's clearly MORE than a socialite : )

Also, Daniel V clearly reacts that he recognizes this person. It's probably someone more famous - but it's still fun to speculate. Any other ideas?

I don't think Brittny Gastineau qualifies as a socialite, either. First of all, she's not rich enough. I saw her stupid trainwreck of a show on E! and she seemed to be, at best, a lazy, struggling model.

I think that Nicky Hilton and Nicole Richie are young women that qualify as socialites and that Daniel V would recognize. And the qualification of 'young' would leave out women such as Tory Burch and Jessica Seinfeld.

I'm sticking by Nicky Hilton.
