Thanks to BPR reader Kathryn for passing on this bit of Season 3 intrigue from TV Guide.com:
The third season of Bravo's Project Runway, premiering July 12, will in large part stick to the contest's proven formula, save for a nip or tuck here and there. Asked to preview the next round, executive producer Jane Lipsitz, who also is bringing Treasure Hunters to NBC this summer, tells TV Guide.com, "I'm trying to think what I can say without giving it away....Project Runway Season 3 is going to have the same spirit as the last two seasons, and the cast is probably our strongest group of designers yet. But there's been one change of venue. I think I can say that." Are any Santino types looming this season?" Every year we get one or two characters who stand out in their own special way," says Lipsitz." We have people this year are equally as compelling, but aren’t exactly the same type of character."
Change of venue? What could she mean by that? Parsons, Mood, the Atlas?......Hmmmmmm.........Macy's?

Ha. Macy's. I'll bet. Not exactly "news" to us.
Hummmmm, well this builds the suspence. Can hardly wait for the season to start. But it makes me nervous - don't want the most entertaining thing on TV to be messed with too much!
I think maybe they'll do a segment in a different country, a la America's Next Top Model. That would really test the designers' versatility, to have to conform to a different country's trends.

It would be more fun to have them in a "pimped out pad" rather than the atlas as well. It would be more compelling...
I'm thinking it is the 'Out' with Banana Republic, 'In' with Macy's thing but I'm still hopeful for the pimped-out pad. Something like on the Real World or The Apprentice would offer some visual appeal (and opportunity for Bravo to get more free stuff in exchange for limited advertising.)
Sorry, just a little bitter.
i auditioned for PR3 and in the contract, it states that we must have our passports ready...
...and in that contract it included the likes of countries as LONDON.
Maybe I'm remembering this incorrectly, but didn't Tim say he got sunburned filming on the roof of the Atlas? (Again, was that just in my rich imaginary life?) So maybe, at least part of it is being filmed at Atlas. International would be cool-but wow, it would have to be fast and how taxing is that on the designers? Oh, man, how many days is it now? Hey, maybe there could be a countdown on the main page??
Either Atlas or a p-o-p, I hope they are sure to have a chalkboard for messages!! :)
Change of venue could mean A) Macy's instead of Banana Republic, B) September Fashion Week instead of February C) an overseas journey or D) something we haven't thought of yet. At any rate, it's fun to get little hints to keep us guessing, isn't it?
…maybe they'll continue to film at Parsons — but at their Paris campus!
Moi, once again... I think we're sharing a brain this evening.
We already know that Macy's is in and BR is out, and I like that the Atlas isn't all fussed up. Let the characters be the "colors" of the place. It's suppose to be about their individual fashion sense--not the tackiness of an MTV house thrown upon them. I wouldn't want those flashy bright colored walls to outshine the personalities of our designers.
Wow maybe they couldn't use parsons for the whole summer so they have to spend a few days out of the country???
Wow.. anyone in New york spotted any designers at Mood??
maybe they are out of town?
