More Project Runway/iTunes News

Now all episodes of Season Two are available on iTunes including both parts of the Finale as well as the previously flawed Road to Runway episode which was downloading as Reunion in the past - that problem is now fixed. For $22.99 you get all 15 episodes plus Project Jay as a bonus (Project Jay is presently only available if the entire second season is purchased).

Click here for Project Runway on iTunes. Again, you don't have to have a video iPod to enjoy these videos; they can be viewed either with the free iTunes software or with QuickTime.

Who is planning to go?

The Official List

This is a list (in the comments) of the folks who have indicated that they will be going on our BPR Tour of NYC on March 25th. I have chosen to use our "real" names which somehow seems to offer more privacy!

Today is your last chance to join us. I really need to confirm some things. Don't add your name in the comments, please e-mail me at kluless7@cox.net. Also, if you are on this list and you CAN'T go, please let me know. And, of course, if you did let me know and I somehow lost track of you, please re-confirm and accept my apology.

We are going to have a great day!

A Note From Daniel Vosovic

Hello Laura!

Well, here we sit in the aftermath that was Season 2... some twists, some turns, but a great season no doubt!
You mentioned that some viewers had wanted to know what music I had used for my runway show... it was actually chosen from a demo cd BRAVO had given to us as an option. I'm not sure the exact title and if it's even available for purchase - sorry!

Your readers, as well as every other person on the street wants to know what I'm doing now... especially with the Michael Kors offer. Well, you'll just have to wait and see! haha! Honestly, everything is up in the air right now (in a great way) but definitely in the works, and that means options - many of them. It really comes down to finding the best path for my career and choosing what I want, and what will best help me get there. I know that sounds vague, but as I'm sure you can imagine I'm inundated with offers ranging from 16 yr old girls offering to intern for me for the summer vacation - to dressing Daisy Fuentes - to having drinks with Matthew McConaughey and his best friend. Seriously. Surreal.

In the end, the "reality-show star" fades and is replaced by a fresher, newer batch of crazies all vying for the same prize, and I have to prepare myself as best I can for my future. It's been an amazing ride and I can't be more appreciative of the opportunity I've been given.

As long as the interest is there, I'll continue to send updates about the happenings in my life, but also feel free to check my website. [I'm always updating] with new things every other day! Take care and thank you for providing this safe, little nest of entertainment and creativity.

Sincerely yours,
Daniel V

Santino's Best Week Ever

I finally caught VH1's Best Week Ever this morning and found their segment on Santino to be priceless. We had to have the video for our many BPR Santino fans! I didn't need to look any farther than Santino's Blog because, of course, Jamey had posted this; I'm sure he would want us to share the love. Nicely done, Santino!

More Advice for Season Three

It seems like the right time to revisit some of our older posts regarding the next season of Project Runway. It will be here soon!

Here is our "design a challenge" from a while back.

Here is our advice for season three contestants.

Here is our early discussion about Season Three!

Good morning!

Kathy Cano Murillo, who covers art, crafts, and popular culture for The Arizona Republic interviewed me last week. Here is the on-line version. I'm quoted at the very end. Guess what I talked about!

Meanwhile, I've heard from Janthedanfan that Santino Rice is featured again on VH-1's Best Week Ever. I'm going to try to catch this later today. Someone, just give Santino his own show, please!

I had an e-mail from a fabulous artist named John Lacko. Here is an article describing how his drawing of Santino made it into production as a limited edition t-shirt available on Santino's blog. Santino fans - get over there and purchase a shirt while they last!

After 143 days of drought in Phoenix we have rain today. It's really weird.

The Latest....

First, please remember that the autographed portfolio auction on eBay is ending soon. Proceeds benefit Autism Speaks. Get your bids in quickly.

Speaking of auctions, did you know that you can bid on each designer's collections. That's right! Santino's final gown is already up to $2750.00! Check it out on the Bravo site.

Also, Here is an article comparing Tim Gunn and Tony Soprano! Thanks Florrie!
Apparently we aren't the only ones watching Project Runway. According to this article the finale broke all kinds of ratings records for Bravo. Maybe PR will win the Emmy this year!

Hmmmmmmm..... If you could only choose one episode to send to the Emmy committee, which one would it be?

Season 3 Applicants: Do You Have What It Takes?

The official Project Runway application for Season 3 is 20 pages long. Among other things, producers want to know if you can sew, cut, sketch and make patterns.

But haven't we learned after two seasons that there is much more involved? For instance:

Can you cry and cut? Can you sing? Do impressions? Dish the dirt on your competitors in private interviews? Are you expressive? REALLY expressive? Willing to wear a humiliating uniform or costume? Can you hold your liquor?

Okay PR fans, what other "qualifications" should Bravo be looking for?

What do you serve at a Project Runway Finale Party? How about some "Cry and Cut Cookies" and some "Santino Rice Krispie Treats?" Thanks Josh!

Did any of our Chicago readers make it to
Isabella Fine Lingerie to meet Kara Janx? Thanks, Kristi!

A Note From Emmett

Dear Laura:

This is a memorable victory for Chloe. Project Runway showcased 16 designers
all unique and talented in their own right. The judges had to make a tough
call but from the start Chloe had always shown originality, fine construction, and quiet determination in her sportsmanship.

I believe Chloe was most deserving of this recognition and she sets a new
standard for the designers of Season 3.

Congratulations Chloe Dao!

XXOO
Emmett

Thanks Emmett - we'll see you on the 25th!

Here is the relevant part of the article: While Bravo did not announce when it expects to broadcast Project Runway 3, the third season casting application -- also released as part of today's announcement -- would appear to hint that now that Project Runway has firmly established itself as far and away Bravo's biggest hit, the network plans to move the show from its present once-a-year schedule to the twice-a-year format typically adopted by most popular reality competition series. Thanks Tim B! Also, here is an interview with Daniel V.

Congrats to Grace, too

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize the fact that Grace won a competition last night as well. Grace, an unconventional beauty always walked the runway with such elegance. Who can forget when she easily reversed that jacket in the Banana Republic challenge? Or how natural she looked when wearing a cap covered with leaves? Or how much she resembled a ballerina when wearing the skating costume? And last night when modeling Chloe's finale dress, she gave you the illusion that she was all curves rather than angles. Well done, Grace! You won us over, too!

Early Recaps

Not only is The Manolo impeccably dressed, he is very punctual! He is the first to file his recap for the Finale.

The Malcontent has tons of photos and 25 minutes of video!

Here is one from The Duchess.

Tiffany from Previously On... has checked in.

And here's Katey from Totes Umbrellas!

It was only a matter of time before moi;) entered the fray.

And would someone please send a burrito over to Mags?

Lots of fist shaking going on at the Infamer.

Shawn's been doing these all season. Thanks!

A comb and a brush and a bowl full of mush, Good Night FourFour!

Elisa's back for the finale!

Okay recappers, this is your last chance. Get those fingers typing, frame those screencaps and send us your links. Your fans are waiting!
