Season One winner Jay McCarroll will auction off original design illustrations featured on the PR spin off ‘Project Jay’ which premiered on Bravo in February. A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to The Humane Society of the United States in support of their fashion campaign that urges consumers to wear clothing that is fur-free.
The auction will include limited edition 10x7 watercolor men’s and women’s design illustrations. Also included in this collection of images is an original design concept for a red carpet dress, which was designed for a supermodel and television host. (Hmmm...wonder who that could have been?) Each illustration is signed and dated by McCarroll.
“The inspiration of the collection was this sort of melding of Middle Eastern and traditional English cultures. The idea was derived from the time I spent in Camden Market in London, England,” said McCarroll.
The auction will start on Monday, May 15th for the duration of 10 days. Each design illustration will start at a bidding price of $100.00. The illustrations can be found on eBay by using the search term Jay McCarroll.

Hooray! This was such a good idea! I can't wait. And if I can't get an original I would be willing to buy a copy of a copy of one of his sketches...is that allowed/legal?
Can't wait to see all of this and really thrilled that it sounds like Jay is having fun with this whole process.
IMO, Jay should commission a poster (in the $30 range) with images of his sketches after the auction of his originals has ended. It would be another way to reach his large audience.
While we're on the subject of Jay, I noticed that Bravo is airing Project Jay again next week. Maybe this will satisfy a few PR cravings for a little while. Look for it Tuesday, May 16, 3 pm CDT. Maybe you can get another good look at those sketches, too!
I wouldn't pay $10 much less $100!!!!
God, dude just get a job.......
14 minutes and 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36 seconds....
Yeah, Jay should get a job. He really needs more experience at the workplace and "In Life" before he goes off on his own.
Go ahead Laura, I know, I know, delete this one too. Honesty is such a lonely word!
If you are lonely in your "honesty" maybe you shouldn't post anonymously...
or possibly this or the previous anonymous entry are designers who have been on the show...
Jay is doing just fine and if he is living life on his terms and honoring his creative spirit...so be it.
*Shrugs, honestly, but not alone* I'd buy the poster for sure. And I love fashion sketches including Jay's Austin's, Nick's, Emmett's and Daniel Vosovic's. I'd buy posters with their sketches, too.
To each his own. (BTW, profanity = deleted comments; opinions do not.)
We are here to support and encourage the PR designers, not tear them down.
Your comments will stay up as long as you keep them clean but I would suggest taking criticisms to sites that would be more receptive than ours.
Like the Bravo boards, for instance...
Love Jay and would rather have a chance to buy his clothing than his art work... and his sketches are pieces of art, no doubt. I just hate that he may miss some opportunitites by holding out for something that might not come around.... but happy that he is being selective and not compromising. I just hope the wait pays off for him in the end. Is that diplomatic enough! Love you, Jay! Best of luck!
I've just checked out these sketches which start at $0.01 each.
Although something may just be a sketch, that doesn't mean it can be spare change. I've sold some sketches for a large amount of money. They're amazing for their immediacy, and it's likewise for Jay's work!
Hey, Laura! I'm headed your way in about 2 days! :D
Leopardrose I can't wait to see you again!
