Designers In The News

Chloe in San JoseChloe is featured in an excellent article from the San Jose Mercury News. We especially like this nugget from MK:

The show has attracted a loyal following because ``it's about genuine talent,'' Kors says. ``It's not about eating bugs.'' Take that, Survivor and Fear Factor! Thanks Elaine!

Also, Santino gets a nod this week in the MSN TV Highs and Lows as the "Best Villain Semiredemption" (scroll down). Here's hoping he achieves full redemption soon. Thanks Jill!

I don't think Santino needs redeeming, either. He wasn't any more of a villain than Wendy Pepper or Zulema. Hording muslin? Hiding in the sewing room? Backstabbing on the runway? Okay, maybe the backstabbing part, but I think he was pretty benign. More of an annoyance than an actual villian.

Santino was not really a villian just a jerk (at times). But it was made a bigger deal on the episodes then the other jerks because he was quite vocal about his jerkiness and made no qualms about that being him.

I just wouldn't want him on because his designs that he has to do on the fly are not all that good. His OFW collection was awsome because he could take time and think and work on it. He just can't compete in a short term contest and turn out nice work (on the majority).....At least in my opinion. Thankfully wonderful successful, talented, established designers agree with me :)

nonny mouse....the nikki challenge. Thats the social scene one correct? If so then I do remember Santinos dress and while one of his better pieces from the time at parsons it is far from the best dress of them all. He may of won the challenge, but Nikki is not always the most tastefully and classy well dressed person at a event. Nick, Daniel and even Andrae's dresses were better in my opinion. I am just speaking my opinion.
