10:02- Chloe moves in w/ Kara & Zu...what's the deal Emmett?
10:02:30- First appearance of Andrae's jogging shorts...
10:03- Model choosing- what will go down?! We were right! Daniel and Andrae keep their models. Peace out Cara...
10:05- Robert is delivering the mail...what is wrong with this picture? Santino is shirtless...that's what's wrong.
10:07- Santino needs to get dressed! Stat! Nick quote about Emmett- "G-g-g-g-gay!"
10:08- Tim calls Santino "Dr. Zhivago"...I heart Tim.
10:09- I heart Nick too. He looks like he won the lottery the second he heard the challenge. Zulema looks like a ten year old w/ the glitter makeup and dres. Too cute!
10:10- Tim Gunn on ice skates...HI-larious! Kara is smuggling Tic-Tacs...

Emmett - I LIKE his. It's kind of Barbie doll meets Spiderman, but it's not worthy of the Axe.
Andrae - too convoluted. It will get in the way.

Daniel V.- Gorgeous! The color is wonderful.

It's got to be Santino!!! If not, then truly they are keeping him around for drama!! I didn't hate Emmitt's. And like he said, it wasn't that short on the mannequin. He didn't plan it that way.

oh yikes. I can't believe they are considering letting Santino go. I thought they'd keep him all the way through to Fashion Week as an easy way to manipulate us. Can it be they are trusting the true drama of the competition? Good on them, if they do!
Emmett's wasn't that awful. I thought it was classy. Yes, it was a little short, but the model is a foot taller than Sasha Cohen. It would be easy enough to alter.
OOOH you know now Zulema is going to take someone else's model....

How terrible for Emmett that he not only got the boot but got it wearing that hideous pink shirt. So sad.

How funny that they had Rob deliver the skating costumes (since this Challenge was just like the Postal Worker challenge last season). Is that why his photo was posted on here earlier today? Emmett's face was priceless. He had no idea who Rob was. (Remember, he's a MENSWEAR designer.) And it looks like he is indeed living alone.
As we get further into the competition, I like that the cameras get into the apartments more. It's nice to see the designers outside of the competition, interacting with each other in a slightly less tense atmosphere.
At the ice rink: Zulema really got into the costume; she lloked like Grace Jones on ice. Kara and Chloe just looked kind of goofy. Daniel lucked out on the outfit - his was so understated.
When I saw the group go to the trim store, I thought of how insane Santino was going to be on this challenge. He does so much on a simple party dress that doing a traditional sequiny outfit would become a nightmare.
I really didn't appreciate Nick mocking Andrae for working on the machines (doing the accent that goes in and out). At last Andrae tried to help. Without him fixing the machines, would the designers have been able to complete their garments? And he was so cute presenting "Princess Cyclone" to Tim.
I feel sorry for Santino's model. She knows that he's doing too much with his garments, but no one can get through to him ("If I have to eat somebody, I'll eat somebody").
On the runway, Emmett's design looked like one of those old grandma skirted-bathing suits, just with some extra sparkle. Santino's garment looked like a molting flamingo. Chloe's design, in her trademark color, was simple and elegant. I probably liked her's most. Andrae's looked a bit too loose for a competitive skater to wear, but I really liked his. Zulema's outfit was very skate-friendly, but I am just not a fan of all that nude space.
In the end, I hope Santino gets the hint. He keeps finding himself close to getting cut for not really following directions. I guess we all kind of thought Zulema would win since the walk-off was expected for next week. And Jay will be there next week - cannot wait!
I adore Andrae.
The judges had to choose between boring and overdesigned...it can be a toss-up. They had no reason to keep Emmett. He's consistently been blah on the challenges and Santino brings a creativity and quirkiness to the show. He is their ratings whore, but he's also got talent to go with it.
and YET AGAIN...Santino stays...WTF...it is REALLY annoying. I lost all the faith I had in this show.
It's all about the ratings.

I can't believe they kept Santino. You can only refer to tacking excess crap onto a garment as "creative vision" for about two garments. At least Emmett's was actually wearable.

My take on Santino - the payoff will be sweet when he finally gets the auf. I'm telling you, he is not going to make it to Fashion Week.
Santino is now officially the Wendy Pepper of season 2. His designs are absurd (while Wendy's were dowdy) but they're keeping him on because he's a drama queen.
Also, I thought it was really sweet that Nick shed a tear over Emmett's auf.

Is it possible that Zulema picks Nick's model, Tarah, because Nick goes "I can't believe that bitch did this," and we see him crying some more, right? Hopefully Tarah stays with Nick, cause Tarah is my favourite model on this season.
I don't recall Nick's model being one of the three shown from the next episode preview (the black model looked like Andrae's?), though. If Zulema does a three-model walkoff to fake everyone out and then picks Nick's model, he'll go insane!
If Nick loses his model, count on him winning a challenge VERY soon in order to reclaim her.
