Who Will Win This Week? - SPECULATION

Any guesses? Here again are the teams:

Santino/Nick
Daniel/Andrae
Chloe/Emmett
Marla/Diana
Zulema/Kara

This episode is called "Window Dressing." We know that the designers will collaborate on ONE outfit. Presumably it will be some sort of window display - maybe in a real store like the 30 Van Dam challenge last year. Maybe the public will vote for the winner like in the Van Dam challenge. The public won't know if a design is "repetitive" or a "knock-off." The public won't know about any of the drama or odious behavior of any of the designers. This vote will be strictly on the appeal of the display.

The designers will only get to use ONE model. Let's consider... Santino and Nick will have to choose between Heather and Tarah - both of them are lovely. It should be great fun to see how they determine this though! Daniel and Andrae will have to choose between Rebecca and Danyelle - both lovely - but definitely diffferent looks. The preview shows the designers mostly working with black and white - I think Danyelle has better coloring for this challenge. Marla/Diana should definitely use Diana's model, Lesley Ann. Team Zulema/Kara will probably use Kara's model, Eden. Zulema insulted Rachael during the first challenge and the girl hasn't smiled since. Emmett/Chloe will probably use Grace - she's taller and more distinctive. Of course I'm only guessing.

So, consider the challenge, the teams, the models and the possibility that the public will vote on the winner - who do you think will win? Why?

Oh - I just thought of one more thing... sometimes when you see a really really thin person in real life - they don't look so good. Maybe the designers shouldn't use the super-thin-bony-sharp models for this challenge. The public could be turned off. Just a thought...

Zulema insulted her model by saying she had "a lot of booty" - which isn't true. Clearly, Zulema was "grasping at straws" to excuse her crappy design.

If Daniel and Andrae win that will be two wins for Daniel. He'll be quite the contender!

Rachael DOES have a big booty. Any time it wobbles and jiggles like hers...it's a big booty. She's not a good model. Neither is Marla's. Both of them need to be off.

I think it'll be Zulema and Kara, since we previously saw a clip of Zulema saying she'd like a walk off between the three models. The only way there would be three models that I know if, is if Zulema and Kara win, Kara picks Eden, and Zulema is stuck between Rachael, and the losing team's two models, making three. That's just my prediction

Well, Zulema certainly has the color palette down for this challenge. Hasn't everything she's made been black and/or white?

I am no good at picking winners/losers, although I'm sure it's time for Marla to go.

I think this week's challenge has to do with Banana Republic as I was in the store this weekend and there were little signs up about the Jan 11th episode/BR Design Challenge. It's also on the store's site.

Oooooh! Thanks for the scoop, Erin!

I would think that zeluma just isn't good to work with. She seems like kind of a bully, but Chloe does too. Got to have a lot of give and take.

Spout it out, Nick! I just love the talented Mr. Verreos, who is not a green newcomer, as we've seen. But can somebody explain to me WHY he was so passive about his choice for a partner in this Banana Republic challenge? A Chloe/Nick collaboration would have been really interesting to watch and probably unbeatable, in my opinion. Daniel & Andrae won because their chemistry raised their creation to a higher level. In the case of Nick and "Wild Rice" (Santino), the whole was not greater than the sum, etc. SR just isn't comfy with team play, period. They obviously did not bring out the best in each other. This put you in way too defensive a position, Nick, but it seemed like you let it happen -- or was this another case of creative editing by the show?
