I swear...I've read all of the reports, and it seems as if all of them saw things differently.

Guess it's true what they say about opinions...

Found this particular piece interesing:
"Santino brought the mouth, which brought the drama, which brought the viewers and which generated the ad revenue. But now, with the final showdown upon us, it could be finally safe to cut him loose..."

That's what I was trying to say about Nick's aufing (but couldn't because I was barely comprehending anything more then "Nick was robbed!" comments.) It was safe to let him loose awhile ago...but I can see how the producers couldn't have anticipated the viewers stronger reactions to other contestants...

Onto what Jay said...very interesting. That's the first I've heard that Santino's garments were unfinished. I'm curious what the judges will say regarding that...if it's even the case.

i'm glad that daniel v's clothes would require a more attentive eye to detail that we can't get in a photo. I just wish that he could have put himself out there a "little bit" more a la Zac Posen. I don't want Daniel to emulate him, just take a few more risks.

This is the first I've heard that Santino's garments looked unfinished. Truly, looking at the collections I'm at a loss to figure out which is the decoy. And I haven't made my picks yet this week (nor have I figured out who the celebrity/supermodel could be).

I hadn't heard Santino said "There's always next season". Yipes, hope not on TV. I also didn't like the way it made Heidi seem a little diva-ish about the retake when everything else I read said she was funny and good natured about it.
I still think the collections were pretty amazing and not sure who the ringer is. BTW, did anyone discuss/mention that Tim says "It INVOLVES a major celebrity by the name of ..."-doesn't necessarily mean that you are designing for that person. It could have been evening gowns for an auction for someone's charity, for example. Maybe I've missed anyone dishing about this.

Just read Andy's Blog...

"The show was just about to begin when Andre Gonzalo ran from behind the scrim to join his cast mates in the front row and the room erupted in cheers."

LOVES IT!!! I love Andrae!

And I think that the designers might have restrained themselves during the big show because of all the panning that has happened to risk-takers in recent weeks. do we want ambition or not?

On that note, I think Kara's was the most ambitious closely followed by Chloe's. But, IMO Chloe's ambition didn't execute well *shrugs*

I think when Santino said "There's always next season" he was talking about the next season for his line, like he'll be back at the Spring 2006 fashion week. I really don't think he was alluding to trying out for season 3 like Daniel Franco! Besides, the producers would never have let him say that.

Somehow I doubt Santino was the decoy, because if he was he might have gone a little crazier without the concern of being criticized by the flaky judges.

aj, I agree about Kara and Chloe being the most ambitious, and Kara's ambition definitely led to a better result in my opinion.

No, I don't think Santino was the decoy. Kara would have to blow them away for him to be out of the top 3. Then again...he could make another glue-together....

His stuff is generally glorified rags anyway, they look unfinished to begin with. So I am not surprised they came off that way on the runway.

On the other hand....The pictures looked pretty good. I did like his collection a lot.

Yeah, I said that. LOL!

Of Santino's collection: "... I saw pins, there was mush in the back...."

I am positively GLEEFUL at the prospect of a serious aufing Wednesday night....

hey ourboydaniel, i wouldn't be too happy with anyone being auffed this week. santino has proven he can last as long as or longer than Cher. really, how many times should he have gone home. at this point, there are 4 designers and it is an even playing field (as much as I don't want it to be). anyway, i am very scared at the possible auffing of Sir Daniel.

I can't believe I'm jumping back into this debate, but my addiction is just too much...

Both DV and Chloe have made comments this week suggesting that they have been working long and hard on these collections. I think the chances that either of those two are the decoy are very slim.

hey tbone, i read where he said that, and i am praying your reasoning is correct. but the other part of my brain is saying, well who is to say the decoy hasn't worked long and hard ont their collection. guess i should just say i am nervous, not that i think any one person in particular is going home. i know who i want to go home, but not sure who will go home.

I said this in another post, but I am thinking that the decoy is Kara. Her collection was phatty (that's a good thing) but it did look REALLY similar to one of the lines on her website. The pieces could have been samples that weren't part of the online collection...

That just makes the most sense to me at this point anyway...

Tim Gunn remained backstage, repeatedly refusing any notion of a front row seat during the show he felt his place was back there supporting the designers. God Bless Tim!

Oh i love Tim!

Stacy - I thought the same thing when I read that. He is the heart and soul of PR!

I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Nick and Daniel had been intimate, especially how Nick eyes him with a weird look at times sheesh. Oh, and Daniel wearing Nick's nickies mwuahaha

If I was the decoy, I'd make darn sure that I worked my tootie/bootie off to present a fabulous and coherent collection. I would be making a collection anyway (that's what designers do), and getting to show it at Fashion Week would be an incredible opportunity whatever the outcome of tonight's show. However, if anyone would adopt a f***-you attitude about the show it would be Santino, especiallly if he's out tonight. There's my prediction.
