I really think Santino has great talent. I understand the frustration with losing Nick and all, but I really think the judging is subjective and sometimes is just the way the wind blows...
it's not just nick. or the way he tries to blame other people when things go wrong for him. it's all the raggedy-*ss, big-bellied, shoulder popping, road-kill booty packing, thread-dangling, aerosol-frosting-squirted over-lingerie, travesties he gets away with. *That's* what's really frustrating. Plus he has no wit to leaven his peversity. He's just ham-fisted crude.
Just joined and I have to say that BPR is amazing. Great job, Laura K! Regarding Santino...I believe he has great talent. I'm not necessarily a Santino fan, but who really knows what goes on behind the scenes. Even though it is a competition, it *is* TV. Creative editing can make anyone a villain.
The results of the poll were not surprising. I do think that Santino is very talented, but has not performed well in many challenges. He seems to be either in the top two, or bottom two, and is more in the bottom. When Zulema was kicked off they said her design was unfinished and poorly presented, and that was why she was out. Santino's this last week was unfinished and poorly presented, and he is in. Does that make sense? The challenge in which he really should have been out, however, was the skating. His design was ridiculous. At least Emmett's could have been actually worn in a skating performance!
Well wheather or not people think that Santino's designs are beautiful, I think that his designs are creative and show a side of design that is hard to find.
And anyway he's not being perverse then; what I meant was that I have a problem with his ham-fisted crudity. I would have more tolerance for his off-color cracks if they had wit.
I find it interesting that none of the designs he unveiled on the runway last week seem to be as nice as the very first one he made for Project Runway.
Hi Scarlett, I can't remember the exact wording of the poll, but the result was that 80% of the respondents said that Santino was kept on the show because of his drama and not because of his talent. Don't quote me but that was the gist of it!
I really don't care for Santino or his designs, but I was interested to see his reaction to Daniel's win. He was genuinely excited for Daniel. I thought that was one of the better moments on the show last night, to see that Santino has grown as a person (if not as a designer :P).
totally agree with you lnlisa, he did seem happy for him. it was like once he made the fashion week he could ease up and not be so 'driven' to get to the finals. but i loved his question, 'who won the challenge?' I was like, duh, the bottom two are left on the runway so obviously DV won it. It made me laugh.

I agree with asiangirl. I think that Santino has true talent...he just needs to learn to chanel it into more beautiful things.

Santino with no wit?
he's the creator of Timpressions!

TimPressions <-- funny, yes, but not witty.

Darn it ... by the time I read this the poll had changed to some lame 'Skating With the Stars' poll.
