Nick in Torino

Nick on Ice, as drawn by BPR reader George
According to Nick's blog, you should be able to see him today on USA Network's Olympic Ice program tonight at 6:00 (Eastern). It sounds like he is part of their in-depth analysis of Women's Figure Skating. Expect lots of commentary on the costumes (four-way-stretch! illusion-mesh! sequins! chiffon!) and much love for Sasha Cohen. I know I'll be watching!

And, thanks to our reader George who provided the sketch of Nick on Ice. It's a very good likeness!

Where was Sasha's Project Runway outfit?

Thanks Scarlett for posting this! I appreciate the comments. I just finished Arts school so now I've time to sketch freely. And watch reruns of PR episodes.

anony....she was not to wear it to the olympics just to a major competition. And since this was filmed long before the olympics she may of worn it to nationals or some other competition.

I just watched Nick. He obviously had fun and made both amusing and insightful comments. I am so pleased that he was used as a commentator for this. He was just terrific.

Loved it that Jamie Salle was impressed by Nick's interrpretation of the yin/yang-i-ness of Arakawa's long program costume. She obviously thought he was bringing his critical faculties to her sport in a professional manner.

I also loved that Nick is apparently now more comfortable acknowledging his own status as a skating fan. In earlier interviews he would only say that his partner David is the fan, and that he got excited by Sasha because he's always "forced" to watch skating by David and his friends. Now the truth can apparently be told; he wasn't freaking out by proxy, but on his own account!

OMG! This sketch is priceless!! I've been working all weekend and haven't checked in at BPR -- the video snippets were outrageous, but this sketch of Nick is just wonderful -- a nice way for me to cap off my geeky work-filled weekend. :D
