Did anyone see the Jeer of the Week in the new TV guide? It was Heidi's treatment of Jay when he designed her Emmy dress and more notably, her weak "I'll try" when he asked her to be at his show. See, it's not just us!!
Beautiful Q&A. THe perfect questions were asked. There were some constant questions for the designers and some specific questions for each designer. It gave some new insight with some of the questions. All 3 are beautiful people and I think this showed in this interview. And as Chloe said "Whoever wins, good luck."
Most interesting to me was that Daniel said that Tim did the same thing with all three designers, act like he didn't like their design and have the models change clothes. It was either because it bothered Daniel the most, or because he won that they chose to show that clip with him. What has me wondering is if the whole thing was staged to throw off the audience.
Santino has really grown on me through the course of the show. How can you not love a man who claims his "Plan A" would have been to have sex with everybody, except it wasn't allowed? He's too funny, really. I can understand where people don't get him, though. It's only after you get to know him better that it's obvious how much of what comes out of his mouth is just b-s and joking.
I assume that the three finalists as well as their models, family members, and the judges, of course, all know who won. I am just going by last year's finale though. All of these people were there backstage waiting for the outcome. Of course, things could be different this year.
Cool interviews. I love Santino. I just identify with him in so many ways. I don't agree with absolutely everything he says and does, but then again I don't agree with everything anyone says or does.
PR is a much bigger deal this year. I don;t remember all the hype on the Today Show or The View or VH1 last year.
Keeping the winner a secret is important for ratings. I still think it's possible they taped the final reveal yesterday. How could they trust these wonderfully weird designers? How could they trust Lupe?
As to Tim's anxiety about Daniel's work - of course they edited it to throw folks off the track. JJust like they have done so masterfully all season.
I think daniel is very talented, super hot and I am sure he s a very nice guy but he comes off very arrogant once again. Maybe it s just in my head though
If they taped the Reunion after the 13th design was announced - isn't it odd that Nick was saying he hoped Santino would "bring it on" right after Dan V. picked Nick to help him?
Daniel's interview shed a lot of light on Part I of the finale. Obviously we didn't know that Tim Gunn asked all the designers' models to try on the clothes. I don't think that matters much, though. Tim Gunn clearly had problems with Dan's collection. Although he seemed to love it months earlier when he visited Dan in New York, his impressions of his line changed for whatever reason. To be fair, Tim saw a glimpse of Dan's garments earlier, so the rest of Dan's line, as well as the finishing touches, may have caused Tim to reevaluate his opinion. The PR producers could be trying to lead the audience astray about a Dan win, but Dan repeatedly expressed concern about Tim's reaction, so I think our understanding of what happened is fairly accurate. Tim's attitude wasn't faked - that's just not Tim's style. Regardless, Dan should be proud - his collection is beautiful!

Great Interviews...I am still recovering from Donny D. this interview helps.
Daniel said...
The thing is, a lot of my stuff was about the pairing together. A lot of my details come in silhouette and proportion
yeah.. maybe daniel's collection will reveal more when we see it on the runway... can't wait.
Also it is interesting that they taped the reunion show after the intro of the 13th design.
that puts things into perspective...

Does someone here know if the final 3 designers know who won? Sorry if this has been discussed here before!

Go figger.
