The Washington Post is hosting a live chat this morning at 11:00 a.m. EST with Tim Gunn!
Tim Gunn, Chair of Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design, is fresh from his second stint at "Project Runway," where he won critical acclaim for his role on the reality-based, fashion design television series that received an Emmy nomination for its first season.
Chair of Fashion Design at Parsons The New School for Design, Tim Gunn, will talk about new looks for your spring wardrobe Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. ET.
You can submit questions before the chat begins, and we know that BPR readers have questions! Registration is required and free. Thanks Liz and Tilli!
I submitted 3 questions from Detroit, MI. Let us know if your question makes it on to the live chat!
OMG will there be a transcript anywhere?????? I won't be home! :(
I just submitted 2 questions from 'Wayne, PA.' We'll see!
Moi, yes there are transcripts. We'll try to post it as soon as it is available.
I submitted questions from Scottsdale, AZ. My questions were about Project Runway 3 though, not about Spring Fashion.
Tim is SO going to know who submitted questions from Scottsdale, AZ!
Scarlett! A personal meeting and a live chat respionse in the same week! Woo-hoo!
Here's a spoiler.
Karen in New Haven
Washington, D.C.: I love Project Runway and fashion, but my question is: If they are going to work with Banana Republic, why couldn't one the challenges be to design for the average women? We know all the designers can make things that look fantastic on runway models, but it seems that designing something to look good on a 5'4" or 5'5" size 10 or 12 could be more of a challenge and a taste of the reality of designing for BR...even petite wear would be nice to see what the designers would do...just a thought.
Tim Gunn: We're on the same page! Keep an eye out for one of the season three challenges....
Yay!!!!! And NOOOOOO to 'Mandals'! My instincts were correct!
Okay, I just got a second question through.
LK - I can live-blog faster than the WaPo. Let's invite Tim on for our own chat!
More about season 3. (And no, that wasn't me who asked about Santino.)
Washington, D.C.: You remarked just now on the lack of immunity for challenges; can you tell us if immunity will be back for season 3? I also preferred the Season 1 way of handling models. And, for my fashion question, will shrugs go away?
Tim Gunn: Let me assure you that these issues -- and a myriad others! -- are being debated by the producers as I write this. Even I haven't a clue what the outcomes will be.
Shrugs are useful, so I believe that they're here to stay.
The Washington Post.com moderators hate me. I've submitted enough questions to have my own interview with Tim Gunn, oh, wait, my question about going back to work at Parson's just got through. YEAH! I have gotten attention from THE TIM! I'll never wash my keyboard again.
ROFL - No to Mandals....OMG I hate men's sandals....
