"and I like real people better".. that's why we love you Chloe!
There is a great photo of her that accompanies the blurb in Time, but it isn't online. Can someone out there send it in?
Not having watched the first season of PR, i was out of the loop whenever people would talk about how excited they were that Tim Gunn would be coming back into their lives. After watching most of the second season (we're 4 weeks behind here) i can fully relate.
He. Is. Marvelous.
I really hope that Michael's company offers Daniel a great job package to work for him. It would be lovely to have Daniel connected to one of my top 2 favorite designers (the other being DVF).
My God, is there anyone on the planet wiser, kinder and all-around better than Tim Gunn?? If I meet him at Emmett's party, it will just make my year. I keep wishing for him to mentor me through LIFE!
Tim Gunn. An amazing interview with an amazing person. He has so much to offer and for that reason, I hope he finds someone to share his life with.
It's great that Chloe is getting so much good press, nationally and internationally - PR just increased it's audience by a few million! She seems to be handling the attention well.
Tim is such a treasure and he is a role model for any design teacher. I sent him an email asking him about "paying your dues in the fashion industry" (re: MK comments on the jury and from my experience in another design field)and I hope he answers it, but here is Nina's confirmation of my theory about their decision (from the last article):
"Daniel V. looks the part and has the talent. But when we talked about what would be the ideal situation for Daniel, it's to work with a designer for a few more years and learn what it takes. Chloe is mature and can handle the opportunities that come with becoming instantly famous. So the message here is: you have to be creative and you have to have business sense."
And...you have to pay your dues in the industry first before you can go out on your own. Did they think DV would end up like Jay - I don't think so! Did Jay have any experience in the industry? I don't remember that he did...I guess they really feared a repeat.
thank you, dennis hensley of "the advocate." that's the best article i've read. very enjoyable. obviously a fan of the show. i kept wondering, why does tim hate daniel f.? wow. weird. i love tim. except when he refers to freak show if santino would've won.
